Dip readings with your own calibration chart
Add each tank's calibration chart (dip chart) once, by typing or pasting its centimetre-to-litre rows. Every dip after that is converted with the chart, interpolating between rows, so the stock you see is your tank's calibrated figure. You can also enter litres directly.
Need a quick estimate without the chart? Use the free dip to litres calculator.
A daily density register
Record density (kg/m³) and temperature (°C) for each tank every day in the density register. Tanker receipts can carry the challan density, temperature and quantity at 15 °C alongside the invoice details.
On the Intelligence plan, Loss Radar corrects densities to 15 °C at day close and flags a density that is out of band, and a challan whose 15 °C quantity doesn't agree with its own gross volume. To convert a single reading yourself, use the density at 15 °C calculator.
Tankers, stock and variance
- Log each tanker delivery with invoice number, supplier, litres, rate, tax and total, and track what you owe your supplier.
- Every litre in or out of a tank is a ledger entry: purchase, sale, pump-out, test return, write-off, transfers between tanks and dip adjustments.
- Each night, the tank's book stock is reconciled against its dip. A variance over your tolerance raises an alert, and so does a tank running low.
- Write off stock with a reason: evaporation, leakage, contamination or testing.
- Fill one tank from another, convert a tank to another fuel, or retire it, with the history kept.
Work out a period's variance by hand with the stock loss calculator, or read what stock loss at a pump usually means.
Frequently asked questions
Does Maxify connect to an automatic tank gauge (ATG)?
No. Dips are entered by your team. There is no hardware to install.
Can I use the dip chart my oil company gave me?
Yes. Type or paste its rows into the tank once, and every dip is converted with it.
